We had been looking for a second home for over a year. We wanted a gourmet kitchen and as many fireplaces as we could get. When I found this home, I knew instantly it was the one. We are literally sitting amongst the trees in our backyard. The sound system is phenomenal. All bedrooms have in-suite baths for privacy when you have company, and the overall layout is excellent. Ralph and Colin Corbo have become personal friends, and we respect their expertise and value their continued friendship over the years. They are easy to work with and do excellent work. We are very proud of our beautiful home, and I believe they are too.

The Corbo Group was established in 1977 by former educators Ralph and Natalie Corbo, whose passion for building high-quality homes began with their first “Dream Home.” In 2003, Colin Corbo joined the firm, upholding the family tradition of excellence as a project manager and chief technology consultant. Today, over 45 years later, The Corbo Group remains dedicated to designing and building high-quality custom homes for clients across Connecticut.

The Design Build Process

Inspiration & Design Consultation

All our custom home design-builds start with a complimentary consultation, during which we will meet and discuss what your perfect home would look like. Bring your ideas, sketches, and plans, and we’ll work alongside you to develop an incredible to-scale Schematic Design. We’ll also assess your land, review our available sites, or assist in finding the perfect property for your home.

Budget Presentation

Our customized estimating program takes the to-scale schematic plans we designed together and generates a highly accurate and detailed proposal. Unlike other builders who provide a flat price based merely on square footage, often leading to unexpected costs, The Corbo Group ensures our proposal is as accurate as possible.

Contract Review & Financing

Detailed specifications of your new home will be prepared and presented to your attorney and lender for contract review, appraisal, and mortgage commitment. Together, we’ll review multiple financing options to secure the best arrangement for your needs.

Structural Plans & Permit Process

Our team of architects, engineers, and surveyors will collaborate to finalize the structural and site plans for your new home. We will also submit these plans to the town and assist with the permitting process.

Breaking Ground & Construction
